What is a Self Pay/Uninsured Patient?

A Self-Pay Patient is either uninsured or has an insurance plan where we are out of network. Self-Pay Patients pay in full at the time of visit for our services and we aren’t required to file a claim or submit any documentation to a third party.

What kind of discounts are offered to Self Pay/Uninsured Patients?

We provide prompt-pay discounts to self-pay patients when payment is made in full at the time of visit. We have negotiated discounted lab charges with a outside lab for the most common lab tests. We pass on this savings to you.

Yes! We would love to see you, your friends and family.

Do you provide preventive care / wellness screening services?

Yes we do. And at a very competitive price too!
If you are only interested in having a physical or a wellness screening performed, we offer:

  • Wellness Screening customized for both adult men and adult women

  • Well Child Examinations for ages 17 years and below.

What is an urgent care center?

An Urgent Care Center is a medical facility that treats patients on a walk-in basis for a wide variety of non-life or limb threatening illnesses, injuries, and minor emergencies. Typically these facilities operate 7 days a week and provide after hours care. Most have the ability to perform basic diagnostic studies, such as x-ray, labs and, EKGs. Many urgent care centers are expanding their scopes of practice to help meet the demands of industry and a growing patient population. As a result, many centers offer occupational medicine services, sports and school physicals, vaccinations, wellness and weight loss programs. Doctors Immediate Care offers all of these services and more.

Is Doctors Immediate Care an Urgent Care Center?

Yes. With our convenient evening and weekend hours, we are an economical alternative to the Emergency Room. We provide convenience of Urgent Care without the higher cost or co-pays of an ER!

Doctors Immediate Care is also a Family Medicine practice clinic — a complete one stop shop for your entire family. We have board certified Family Physicians that strive to provide you with a continuity of care for both your acute and chronic medical problems as well as check-ups. For your convenience, we are open evenings, have convenient walk-in hours and we perform many outpatient procedures in our office including laboratory testing and X rays.

At Doctors Immediate Care, we do provide many of services found at urgent care centers but in some instances (such as suspected fractures, major burns and other major injures) it’s necessary for you to be seen by an Emergency Department physician or a specialist. Doctors Immediate Care will refer you to most appropriate facility or provider for evaluation of acute injury or illness when it’s medically necessary.

Do you see children?

Yes! We treat patients of all ages from newborns to seniors. Our physicians have all been trained to care for pediatric patients. In addition to treating acute medical problems in kids (such as colds, rashes, ear infections, broken bones, etc), we provide well-child care and are able administer all recommended immunizations.

Can I use you as my family doctor if I don’t have one?

Yes, Doctors Immediate Care can work with you as a primary care and your family doctor. Although we are glad to see patients anytime, we want to stress the importance of having a family doctor, serving as the “manager” of your healthcare. Urgent care provides medical treatment for your unexpected illnesses or injuries, and serves as a resource for after hours care, on weekends and holidays, or when you are unable to get an appointment with your doctor.

Do I have to make an appointment ?

No. You do not need an appointment. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served, walk-in basis. However, you can use our convenient ZipPass, which allows you to get in line on-line. You can choose either the next available time or reserve a time that is more convenient. The ZipPass link is located on our home page.

Who is a new patient and who is considered an established patient?

A new patient is one who has not received any professional services from any Doctors Immediate Care physician within the past three years. An established patient is one who has received professional services from Doctors Immediate Care physician within the past three years.

What type of patients and medical conditions do you see?

We see patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. We manage a wide variety of medical conditions from chronic illnesses (such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease, coronary artery disease, asthma, etc.) to acute problems (such as respiratory infections, musculoskeletal injuries, rashes, headaches, etc).

Do you give immunizations?

Yes. We provide all standard immunizations including pediatric immunizations, tetanus shots and travel vaccines.

Do you provide annual exams?

Yes. We do comprehensive medical exams on males and females of all ages.

Do you provide well-woman care services?

Yes. We provide a full spectrum of well-woman care, including pap smears, pelvic exams and breast examinations.

Do I have to pay at time of visit?

Yes. In almost all cases, some payment is required at the visit, whether it’s a deductible, a co-pay, or payment for any non-covered services.

Will I be seen by a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner?

Doctors Immediate Care’s highly trained team consists of board certified/eligible physicians to care for patients. These expert, caring professionals will see that you receive the appropriate treatment every visit.

Do you provide travel medicine services?

Yes. We provide travel vaccines based on CDC recommendations. These include immunizations like Hepatitis A and B, Yellow fever, typhoid, meningococcal, and tetanus. In addition, we will provide you with appropriate medications (including anti-malarial and anti-diarrheal medications as indicated). Some immunizations require 2 or more doses several months apart so please make an appointment with us as soon as you know you are traveling.

Do you provide school physicals?

Yes. Sports, camp, and daycare physicals are offered. These visits are not billed to your insurance company.

Do you provide flu shots?

Flu shots are offered to all, including children over the age of 6 months. No appointment necessary.

Do you have laboratory services available?

Yes. For your convenience we have an on-site laboratory. We do a variety of rapid return labs in our office, such as rapid strep throat screens and cultures, blood glucose testing, influenza testing, urinalysis, pregnancy tests, mono test and more. Further labs and blood work are drawn on-site and are processed by our contracted laboratory.

We offer two simple HealthPass options.

Option 1: Pay-Per Use. Pay at the time of your visit.

  • Available for patients of all ages
  • Prompt-Pay discount is provided when payment in full is made at the time of visit. Office visit starts at $75 for one complaint. Additional complaints or elaborate visits are charged at $110.

Option 2: HealthPass Discount Card (Best Value and a Perfect Gift for Your Loved Ones)

  • Available for patients ages 5 and above
  • For an monthly fee of $50*, you receive an additional 25% discount on top of our Prompt-Pay discounted fees for all medical services (excludes vaccination) received at Doctors Immediate Care
  • An affordable alternative to Doctors Immediate Care Pay Per Use Card
  • Evening and Weekend Service available.
